Hungarian Coffee Cake


1 box hot roll mix
1/2 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup sugar1
1 tsp cinnamon2
1/2 cup nuts, finely chopped3

  1. Prepare hot roll mix. After second rising, cut dough into pieces the size of walnuts.
  2. Form into balls.
  3. Roll in melted butter.
  4. Place 1 layer of balls so they barely touch in a well-greased 9" tube pan.
  5. Sprinkle with a few rasins.
  6. Add another layer of dough balls.
  7. Sprinkle with more raisins, pressing them in slightly.
  8. Let rise for 45 minutes.
  9. Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes.
  10. Loosen from pan.
  11. Invert pan so butter-sugar mixture runs down over cake.
