Overnight Coffee Cake

1 cup sugar
8oz sour cream
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 Tsp salt
1/2 cup pecans, chopped
3/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon

  1. Combine butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs and sour cream. Mix well.
  3. Combine baking powder, salt, pecans, butter, and brown sugar.1
  4. Add to batter and mix well.
  5. Pour into greased and floured 13"x19"x2" baking pan.
  6. Combine brown sugar, pecans and cinnamon, mixing well. Sprinkle evenly over batter.
  7. Cover and chill overnight.
  8. Uncover and bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes.
  9. Test by inserting toothpick; done when toothpick comes out clean.
